Introduction
The Blue Empowerment Project Team is launching the Integrated Multitrophic Aquaculture (IMTA) System in Kwale County in November 2023. During this period, the project will host a series of activities focusing on empowering women for the Blue Economy. We seek innovative and interesting posters that demonstrate the latest research, technologies and developments in this area of study.
About the Project
The Blue Empowerment Project aims to tackle barriers for the empowerment of women in Kenya's coastal region through adoption of climate-smart integrated multi-trophic aquaculture (IMTA) of seaweeds and fish for improved livelihoods and resilience. The project has four main strands: contextualization, technology optimization, business optimization, and learning.
Submission Guidelines
Participants are invited to participate in the ‘Poster Session’ by submitting their research as a poster presentation. This session will enable participants to share their latest research findings, ideas, and innovations with professionals in their fields and the community.
We encourage you to showcase your research, insights, and experiences in an interactive and visually compelling format. This is a great opportunity to receive feedback on your work and interact with other researchers and professionals in your field.
The poster session will take place on 28th November 2023, 1400hrs to 1700hrs, at the Kenyatta University, Mombasa Campus, and each presenter will have an opportunity to discuss their poster with the attendees during the poster presentation session.
